AND YOU WERE RIGHT! 
From the beginning I thought it was a boy… but I did question myself a few times, including a post about why I thought it was a girl! Steve and I had the appointment this morning and because it was our first ultrasound, we went through every body part and took measurements. Quite exciting! The baby boy was a mover and the nurse kept saying, “this is a difficult one!” Haha. Great!
The measurements gave the same due date we had been previously told: December 18th.
Weight: 10 ounces (average is 8.5)
Height: average is 6 inches, I don’t know what baby boy is measuring..
Heartbeat: 144 beats/minute = good!
Baby’s position: breached
Placenta location: on top – good!!
My weight: 118.4 (up about 2 pounds from pre-pregnancy… we’re getting there!!!)
My blood pressure: 100/60 .. great, if not a little bit low, but that’s normal during pregnancy
We didn’t actually get to meet the doctor.. we will at our next appointment. But the nurse midwife we had was excellent! We have lots of homework!! : Time to start touring the 3 hospitals, choosing a pediatrician and signing up for prenatal classes!
We got a print out of 3D/4D pictures.. but not a 2D one of his whole body. I’ll ask for that next time! We were too excited to think of it I guess! So these pictures are just head shots of his face.
This one is my favorite.. a little pink nose! His hand is up near his mouth.
This one is a little harder to make out, but he’s got a smile!
And finally.. these 2 are the same pic, just different lighting.
Next Appointment: Monday, August 24th, 9:30am… just a belly check!
Steve has to go back to Iowa later today for 3 weeks! We’re worried I’ll look really different by the time he’s back.. big belly! And yes, we’re talking baby names, but no – we don’t plan on sharing them (yet). :)

Congrats!! It’s so exciting. I’m due next month and we are having a little boy also. I also had the same feeling that we were having a boy before we actually found out for sure. Funny how sometimes you just get those vibes!

Wow how exciting!!! I can’t say I’m surprised tho…I am now 1 for 1 on guessing my friend’s babies sexes.…
