Haha! Just today I realized that my son is going to think his name is Killibutt (me) or mister (husband.) He has a zillion nicknames (most ending in –butt, –pants, or –saur,) but he usually gets called those two things.

I started calling my son Piglet during one of his nurs-a-thons (think growth spurt, he was attached for like 2 days!) and it stuck, plus we have always been 95-99th percentile in height and weight. It stuck. Even the ladies at his daycare sometimes slip and call him Piglet.
I promise that I will stop…soon.…before #2 gets here for sure!

We had the same issue with our son. We started referring to him as a fussy Gus when he was, well, fussy. And then it just snowballed from there. It was Gus this, Gus that. My husband would come home and ask “How’s Gus today?” and then it hit us that if people heard us talking they would think his name was Gus! It’s not even close by the way.

My mom started calling Cade, "Cader Bug" from the very early days of his life, and now most of the time I just call him "Bug." If it's a "serious situation" it's mostly "Cade McCale!!" so he'll definitely know his full name because, lately, there have been a lot of "serious situations" around here! haha

wow i think us mommies all do this cuz i call my kiddos a bunch of diff names too. sometimes i even call my older daughter the wrong nickname & she says no, i’m baby & she’s booboo. lol. but yes, they’ve always known their name

Haha, oh yes, Bacon! I suppose Steve does use that once in awhile. Also… R.T., R.Tyler (created by Steve’s cousin Tyler, haha), R.Tizzle (created by Steve’s younger brother).. I still call him Baby like I did when I was preggo… or lil’ man.
