Nursing in public… at a protest for the 537 teachers in our district who were fired (my mom included). Everyone wore pink shirts that said “SOS” (Save our Staff/Schools/Students). I was only surrounded by a few hundred people.…. but you can’t even tell what I’m doing!
Below are more pictures from the event.

Ryan supports the teachers too!

Ryan was crying as I was trying to get him in his sling. This teacher told me we could use his crying for the cause – his tears were for all the teachers that got laid off!

YAY for supporting a cause and for NIP! I LOVE the color of your sling too!

Great job with NIP!!! I find something so beautiful in nursing outdoors. IDK what it is, but I feel grounded, and in a way connected to mothers all over the world and through the ages who feed their babies whenever and wherever it’s needed. Don’t get the same feeling NIP indoors, though.
Best of luck to your mom and the other laid off teachers!
