Have you seen this yet?! It’s disgusting. This Indonesian 2-yr-old smokes cigarettes and he started when he was 18 months of age. His mother says he’s addicted and can’t stop – he’ll get angry, scream and bang his head against the wall. He’ll tell her that he’s dizzy and feels sick. This poor kid is also overweight and uses a toy truck to get around in order to keep up with the other kids. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THESE PARENTS? I want to know HOW this kid got a cigarette in his mouth in the first place! Did they think it would be CUTE?! They couldn’t possibly have thought it was a GOOD IDEA. And now he’s too hooked to take the cigarettes away. Hey, parents, grow some balls and stand up to your kid — he’s TWO — take the damn cigarettes away or he’s gonna die. You know what the Sumatra officials did? They offered to buy the family a CAR if the kid quits smoking. Now.… to me, that’s just giving other families an incentive to do something this stupid. (Hey, dude, you want a free car? Let’s get this kid to puff on this!) And the dad? He says the boy looks healthy and he doesn’t see a problem with it. HEAD. DESK.

HOLY CRAP!!! WTF??? Spaying and neutering should not be restricted to pets. These people are unreal. Poor, poor little boy. The government is no better than the parents. Instead of intervening, they entice the parents with the offer of a free car!!! Imagine if child protective services pulled that stuff here!

Actually it’s a really common thing for kids to smoke there– i read an article somewhere that said the percentage of 3 – 15 year olds to smoke– i forget the % (it was big!) because i was too busy going WHY THE HELL IS THE AGE GROUP START AT 3?!?! The country wants to start limiting cigarette commercials and legislate against such things (DUH) but it really goes to show that people are inherently stupid and blindly follow commercials and what’s the ‘norm’ without thinking “Hmm, is this really a good idea?” man it makes me hate people.
