When I was pregnant, we picked out an awesome theme for Ryan’s room. I wanted animals, Steve wanted sports. We actually found ANIMALS PLAYING SPORTS. Blows your mind, I know. Sadly, we never got the whole bedding set because it was so expensive. We ended up buying other pieces that matched… the window valance, crib mobile, wall stickers and the lamp. I was always pretty disappointed though that we didn’t have a matching crib sheet set. I found really cute jungle animal sheets at Target, but we never did have a crib skirt!
Artistic Sensations has really cute children’s bedding and other nursery décor items. If you keep up with Jenn over at Baby Making Machine, you know she got her beautiful bedding (and wall squares) for her adorable daughter from Artistic Sensations too! I was lucky enough to win one of Jenn’s giveaways for some imagination wall décor squares and got to talking with the owner, Kim, about my bedding issue.
She saved the day! Okay, she saved my husband from hearing me ever complain again about not having a crib bedding set
I LOVE IT! The colors match the rest of our theme stuff really well. Besides, I kind of think an entire room of jungle animals (playing sports) is a little much, so I love the crib being a bit different… pretty!

I love love love the crib sheet. And the blues and the little bits of brown go great with the rest of Ryan’s things. Now I just wish his walls were painted and everything was hung up so you could see!!! We moved here in Feb. when Ryan almost 2 months old and now we’re discussing moving again (we’re insane, I know) so I’m not sure his room will EVER get done! AH! But.… at least we have a matching crib set
Mama is happy. Which is funny because it’s not like Ryan sleeps in his crib anyway. BUT IT’S PRETTY ANYWAY!
The stripes on the crib bumper kind of get hidden by the slats on the crib, but that’s ok, because I love the baby blue color. (I know, I KNOW, crib bumpers aren’t safe. But Ryan doesn’t sleep in there, remember?) And the little fans of color on the crib skirt? Perfect touch. In the picture above you can see the included crib sheet, bumper, crib skirt. It also included a blanket (in the first picture), a window valance, and a diaper stacker:
Awesome, right? We didn’t even own one of these before. We have a basket with the changing table with diapers, but seriously – that changing table is getting a bit dangerous to put Ryan on! He’s a little monster. So I’m going to prefer the floor pretty soon, which will be a lot easier with this handy stacker.
OK, so what’s the good news for YOU?! Artistic Sensations is giving one lucky reader their very own crib bedding set for a little girl!

This is called Circus Crib Bedding and is valued at OVER $300! Do you want to WIN this set? Just head over to my NEW review and giveaway blog for details on how to enter!!! Baby Dickey’s Giveaways: baby tested, mama dickey approved!

So you’re promoting a crib set for a crib you’ve clearly defined as not only unsafe for a kid to actually sleep in, but one that you never use? What’s the point? By the time you’re done co-sleeping, you’ll probably need to get a big boy bed for Ryan.
You’re so full of it sometimes. Stop whoring yourself/your blog out for stuff you clearly don’t support or use. It’s pathetic.

HAHA, wow. Jealous? Do you know how long before a baby needs a big boy bed? Even if he doesn’t sleep in it right now, what’s wrong with wanting a cute nursery room with matching stuff???? As for the unsafe crib bumpers… it came with the set. They’re currently on the crib for looks because Ryan doesn’t sleep in it. I just didn’t want a million comments of people telling me that I was doing something unsafe by having them on there. If you get a crib set, you don’t have to use the bumpers, but they do come with it. CHILL OUT.

Wow, If you don’t like a person and what they stand for, then why do you read their blog? There is that amazing X in the corner that you can click on. Obviously you are a miserable person who has nothing better to do in your day than write nasty comments to people. You should at least have the balls to put a real name on your comment, otherwise there really is no point except self gratification.
[Reply]
wow, really?! Jealous much! Grow some balls and put a face behind your comment. You don’t know Emily, or her life, so who are you to judge?
“Your so full of yourself sometimes” Clearly you dont know Emily, or read her blog, because she isn’t. It’s pathetic that you had to leave such a mean comment, “A. Reader”, so grow up and get a life!
Plenty of babies don’t use their cribs, my son doesn’t, but he still has a crib complete with bedding, bumpers, the whole nine. There’s nothing wrong with wanting a nursery with cute bedding

I’m going to have to agree with “A Reader”. I’ll never understand why moms who don’t use their nursery want to go all out and get a matching super cutesy crib set with all the frills etc. As for the crib bumper, I use one in the crib that my son actually sleeps in and he’s still alive. Screw what everyone else has to say.
It does make me wonder about all these “popular blog moms”. Would they actually be able to afford a pregnancy and raising a child if they didn’t get everything sponsored? I guess I’m glad that my husband and I can afford our child without needing people to just give us things for free.

Most of them will use it..eventually…and why do u care what other mom’s do with their “cutesy” crib set? And…so what if they couldn’t afford all the “extras.” Being sponsored by a company is a great way to save money and at the same time, help the company out! It is like a job, “another reader.” I am so happy for you that u and your husband can afford everything you want. I am thinking that you are stating that u are just a bit better than others.

GET A LIFE! The “readers” are creepers! Just because Emily gets some items sponsored doesn’t mean she cant afford a freaking child. She obviously had the crib right, so that a decent expense. And BTW Saying “My kid uses bumpers and he’s still alive” is the same logic as “I smoke cigarettes around my child and they’re fine”. Its still not the best thing to do!
[Reply]
Why would I be jealous? My child not only sleeps in her own crib, she sleeps through the night, and we can afford to buy her our own crib bedding. I’m surprised you even still have giveaways. Why would a company want to waste their stuff on a blog where most of the entries only receive 3 – 5 comments?
As for WHY I still read this blog. I hardly ever do. I haven’t gotten around to deleting you from my reader and found this post to be particularly annoying. I find it hilarious that all you mom bloggers lose a huge portion of your readers after having your babies only to try and whore yourself out to try and win them back. It never works. If your content sucks, nobody will read.

omg.…u are absolutely RUDE.
[Reply]
First of all, moms who blog and get things sponsored, it is never free. Do you know how much time these moms put into their blogs? I am up well past 2am every night to blog so I don’t have it interferring with my time with my kids. My time is valuable and should be awarded with “free stuff”.
Second, jealous much?
“I guess I’m glad that my husband and I can afford our child without needing people to just give us things for free”… um, ok? Again, it isn’t “just” for free. You mustn’t have a life either if you go around spewing hate for no reason.
If you don’t like Emily’s blog, DON’T COME TO IT! It’s really that simple.

another comment for the “readers”…I have 2 girls, my oldest is 2 and my youngest is 5 months. Neither of them have fancy bedding, because I don’t want to have all that fancy bedding to wash. There are no crib skirts, valances or matching sheets/comforter sets. My oldest has a crib sheet and her favorite blanket on her toddler bed with a care bear shaped pillow, and the baby just has a crib sheet…nothing fancy. They have both been sleeping on their own since the day we brought them home. It is just a matter of preference, whether the kids use their room or not. Our oldest is still in her crib, just turned into the toddler bed option, so maybe Ryan will get to use it, and who are you to judge how people decorate?

I was going to say the same thing ab the toddler bed. My crib converts, so C’s bedding will be put to use at least for a few years. So what’s the big deal if its not used right away?

Yep, ours converts too! It will be used for a long time — and maybe even for the next baby!

Why do I want a cutesy matching crib set when Ryan doesn’t sleep in it (yet)? Because I CAN. If you don’t like that, get off my blog.
I have a part-time job. Blogging (successfully) is like having a 2nd part-time job. It takes a LOT of time. It’s marketing, it’s PR, it’s being a brand representative. It takes skill. Professional mom bloggers exist. Don’t downplay what we do like it’s easy. Product I get is compensation for my time and a payment for the free advertising these companies get. But wow, I must really suck at what I do, seeing how I got a full sponsorship to BlogHer and all these companies email me every day asking me to review for them.
And 3 – 5 comments per giveaway? Try in the hundreds, on average.
God yes PLEASE take me off your reader. Funny that you’ve been meaning to because you don’t want to read my blog anymore, but you read this post. Find something better to do.
And? Show your face. I dare you. I bravely write about my life — many personal aspects of it — for everyone to read and criticize at will. and you come here and leave an anon comment? Please.

That picture of Ryan is so cute! Looks like he loves his new bedding (even if he doesn’t use it). Our crib is pretty much decorative right now as well since DS sleeps with me. I had an absolute blast designing the nursery.
[Reply]
Geesh! So many haters! The crib set is ADORABLE and I’m so glad you have it! I had super cute bedding/nursery décor (Frogs) for my DD, and decorated DS’s nursery with dinosaurs — super cute!! And, neither of my kids used their cribs… I like to go into the nursery for changings and have it look nice! What’s wrong with wanting to have your home look beautiful? Geesh! And, I love your blog! You are awesome!
