We have really pretty Japanese gardens here and they had a “donation day” recently, which means you don’t have to pay admission (but it’s nice to donate). I know it’s not exactly a place for kids, but thought I’d give it a try. There are miles of walking paths with lots of fish and ducks for Ryan to watch. I wanted to try to snap some great pictures, too. Within 5 minutes Keep Reading Our trip to the gardens There’s an arboretum a few minutes from our house – it’s hidden away on a busy street, most people don’t even know it’s there. It’s nearly always empty when we go – a giant field of trees and grass and flowers – it’s beautiful and peaceful. After the rain this morning, the sun came out and it was a really nice day so I decided to get out of the house and take Ryan to the arboretum so he could run free and I could Keep Reading summer days I knew that’d get your attention.. there isn’t much cuter than a baby in a tux! Steve’s sister got married on January 15th and we were both in the wedding. Ryan was supposed to be a ring bearer, but at the rehearsal dinner we tried to get him to walk down the aisle and he just plopped down and cried about it, haha. Steve and I even tried standing at the end of the aisle calling his name Keep Reading It’s a baby in a tux! I’m taking this 28-day photography class from Joy of Love… it’s free and you can still sign up if you want to check it out! She emails a daily lesson and our “homework” is to take the specified photo style. I started a day late so I’m going to post the first two days now… the second lesson was “how they look” and I got this cutie Keep Reading Joy of Love [day 1 and 2] I wouldn’t normally give my 11 month old a chocolate candy bar to chew on… I was cleaning and setting up Christmas decorations, which means I was removing the pumpkin full of Halloween candy – don’t ask me how I still have some left, I have no idea! I accidentally left it within Ryan’s reach and of course he found it. I walked past him and from the corner of my eye, something didn’t look right.
