You may have already heard the news (the article I’m citing was published 2 days ago so I’m a little late), but in case you haven’t.… Breast-Feeding Supplies Win Tax Breaks From I.R.S! This affects purchases made starting in 2010. If you have a flexible spending account, you can use that for breast pumps and other supplies. Otherwise, you can just claim a deduction of the costs of your breastfeeding items (as long as your Keep Reading Whoooo! Tax breaks for breastfeeding! Yep, we all know how much I love being a breastfeeding mama! Ryan is one year old and still breastfed. A year was my goal, but now that it’s here I can’t imagine stopping… when Ryan comes to me and asks for it. He knows sign language for milk… or he simply yanks my shirt off, hahaha. So when I stumbled upon this blog hop, I had to join and support the other breastfeeding mamas! I found it at Keep Reading Breastfeeding Blog Hop! Ryan is 10.5 months old and is still breastfed. My original goal was always to make it to one year, but now that it’s *so close* to being here, I can’t imagine stopping yet. I work outside the home part-time (5 days a week) and need to pump while I’m away to keep up my supply and so Ryan can have milk while I’m gone. Recently I was lucky enough to receive the brand new double Keep Reading I’m a breastfeeding (& pumping) mama {$340 Simplisse Breast Pump giveaway!} One of my great friends from college (hey roomie!) recently moved to Australia as an interior designer ((jealous!!!)) and she sent me this article: Mums split over revival of breastfeeding each other’s babies. Feel free to click over and read the whole thing, but here’s the idea: Women are using the internet to donate breast milk. Okay, I think we’re fairly familiar with that idea. Cora’s Story is a non-profit organization that was created by Kristine and Ben, Cora’s parents, in her honor. Please visit Cora’s Story to learn more about the beautiful baby Cora and her parents and their fight to raise awareness. One thing this organization does is “Wear Pink for Cora Day.” She was born on Nov 30, 2009, so on the 30th of every month we celebrate her birth.
